My Cactus..

I don't know how this cactus got on top of the hill, but March of 2011 I created this design 

Mom gave me a piece of her cactus in 1986 or 1987. John and Jay would

mow it down every year. In 2008 when Preston begin maintaining our lawn,

I asked him not to cut the hill and my cactus began to spread along the ground.

Seeking help! I asked Mr. Hodge for his opinion.

John told me that cactus couldn't grow on a hill--men!

I put some small river rocks around the cactus on the ground and

got a few cactus needles in my fingers, but they begin to grow upward.

To keep the rock from falling in the ditch down the hill,

I put the boarder around cactus and added the large white rocks to the

cactus bed in April 2011.

After 20 years I have a bloom.
